I love my husband!

My husband is amazing (and he looks killer in pink headbands). I just have to say that he is the best husband, the best dad to Jane, and the best Art Director. I am so proud of him right now and all the cool stuff he is doing in school, and how hard he is working. One of these days I am going to get all his work off his computer and post it on here so I can show it off. Besides working so hard in school he always takes time to be with us, and  he is always so much fun! I Love You Brig!

About Barb

Disclaimer: This is going to be insanely boring, but I feel like writing what I have been up to. In November I started working at Mt Sinai Medical Center as a nurse on a Telemetry Unit. This is where people go that aren't sick enough for the ICU, but still need extra monitoring and attention. It was a great place to get experience. I worked full time until January when I cut back to only two 12 hour shifts instead of 3. Brig was extremely supportive by watching Jane so I could have the experience of working. I love being a nurse. 3 weeks after I started working I found out I was pregnant. Working Full-time, being pregnant, and trying to get through the holidays was enough to make the blog go WAY down on the list. Once things calmed down and I started working part-time, I just kind of got out of the habit of blogging.

Jane and I enjoyed our days together walking along the boardwalk (so I could exercise) playing at the beach or the park and getting together with our wonderful Miami friends. One thing (besides our friends) that I really miss about Miami is the perfect weather every single day. We never had to worry if we would be able to go outside that day or not. Now that we are in Colorado we are constantly having to rearrange our plans because we will look out the window and all of a sudden it is SNOWING. Hard to get used to. We love it here in Colorado, though. It feels like home. I don't think I will start working again for awhile.

Whenever people ask what I like to do I always say "Read". I know that is lame. Every time I say that Brig just looks at me like I am crazy because I have hardly picked up a book since we have been married. These last few weeks though I have gotten really into reading and I LOVE it! Right now I am reading Cold Sassy Tree by Olive Ann Burns. Last week I read #1 and #2 of a series about Amish people called Abram's Daughters by Beverly Lewis. Before that I read The Witch of Portabelo by Paulo Coehlo. All are great.

Another reason to be a Broncos Fan!

So, moving to Denver we were excited to cheer for our local teams, but today we got another reason to be Bronco Fans! Barb's cousin Spencer Larsen was drafted to the Broncos! Congrats Spencer!

Goodbye Miami Ad School Friends, We Miss You!

Fun with a camera timer after Easter dinner:

The Southgate Towers Farm

Right before we left Miami, Brig had to use a chicken for a TV spot, so guess who got to have a pet for awhile?? Jane loved it. (I followed it around with a bottle of carpet cleaner.)

MTV is a Virus

Check out this video! It is a piece Brig art directed for a competition called D&AD in London. He is hoping to get as many hits as possible, so check it out! Hope you like it!

Goodbye South Beach, Hello Colorado!

Brig came home and announced a month ago that he got accepted to an internship with Crispin Porter and Bogusky (I like to brag about my husband so I will tell you that CP+B is ranked the #1 interactive advertising agency). We were both jumping up and down for joy. 2 weeks later we were loading a huge truck with our things and headed on our way out west.

We desperately miss our friends and ward in Miami, 10 minute walks to the beach, beautiful sunsets, and always perfect weather. We DO NOT miss 15 minute treks to our car, living in a high rise apartment building, poor customer service, or traffic.

Some things we love about Colorado: Our wonderful house with a BACKYARD and GARAGE, (anyone who has lived in a high rise in a big city can appreciate how much this means to us), the mountains, an amazing welcoming ward and neighborhood, Snow!

So, as anyone who reads this blog is aware, there has been an absence of posts for awhile, ok, a LONG while. All I can says is, sorry didn't feel like blogging.  One big piece of news that cannot go unblogged about is:

We are having a baby girl in July!
